Converting an engineering company to Office365

The Challenge A US engineering and construction company supporting utility industries was identified through a tele-engagement with Accordo as having the opportunity to modernize the workplace by converting from on-premise productivity software to Microsoft Office365. Accordo’s Sales Enablement Team (SET) was challenged to help the organization recognize the benefits of the upgrade while at the same time, eliminating licensing shortfalls.
Partnering for Success The SET discovered that the organization had been purchasing Microsoft Office licenses on an as-needed basis in an inconsistent manner over the years, resulting in an array of Office software versions and editions that were mis-matched. Accordo partnered with Omega Technology Group, the customer’s partner of choice, to help this customer implement a full conversion from all of their on-premise software to Office365. This outcome also allowed the organization to optimize business applications within their organization, which saved them money on operating expenses in the long-run.
Strategic Consultation Accordo and Omega jointly identified inefficiencies and licensing inconsistencies in this organization’s software environment. By helping them to understand the benefits of cloud services -- with always-on service and availability anywhere, anytime, from any device – the customer was pleased with the outcome of this consultative engagement. So much so, that the organization is further considering a conversion of infrastructure to the cloud through Microsoft Azure, which will be an ongoing discussion with their partner for future change.
